BETRAYED FRIEND

Topic : Betrayed Friend.

Text   : Mark 14 :18.

Memory verse : It is not an enemy who taunts me- I could bear that. It is not my foes who so arrogantly insult me - I could have hidden from them.INSTEAD,IT IS YOU - MY EQUAL,MY COMPANION AND CLOSE FRIEND.

Psalm 55 : 12-13 (NLT).

It is painful and too real to be doubted when your "best man" or "best lady" slept with your spouse and ran away with your Apple juice.If you have ever been betrayed, you can imagine the hurt  when the best friend of Samsom went away with his wife.Ask Jacob ,he will tell you his own unforgeable experience.Jesus also bore the pain of betrayer in Mark 14:18 "...ONE OF YOU WHICH EATETH WITH ME SHALL BETRAY ME ".The wounds and pains of betrayal run deep. When your trust is misplaced the feedback is " what have I done to deserve this "?.

After long period of cultship your spouse who was once refered to you as his/her honey in her tea,cockroach in his cupboard, the reason why she could not sleep ,now said sorry " God said you are not the right person for me". You see they always lied against God.How will you feel to see a COLOURFUL WEDDING  INVITATION ONLY TO FLAW OVER WITH THE NAME OF YOUR BEST LOYAL FRIEND MAJESTICALLY MARCHING TO THE ALTER WITH THAT BETRAYER WHO SAID "God said you are not melt for me" ? To be sincere these among other reasons are the reason why people find it very difficult to forgive.When he/she was demanding for money to pay school fees,God never said "you're not for him".BETRAYER! 

THE FACE OF A BETRAY FRIEND.

1)He/she act with hidden agenda.

Jesus said in Matthew 26:46, "Rise let's be going ,behold he is at hand that doth betray me".

Throughout the period she was going with you to visit your spouse,she pretends to be nice but inwardingly saying " how I wish she/he is mine"?.

Brother and sister beware of suspicious uncontempted friend,they are wolves in ship clothing.

2)BETRAYER LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITY .

Most kidnappers today act on intelligent report of close associate of their victim.

Jesus said in Matthew 26:16,"...And from that time he (Judas) sought opportunity to betray Him (Jesus). 

"They shall betray one another " Mtt. 24:10.

Beloved,only trust yourself.Beware of strange and suspicious visit. Christian are worse off because,we assumed everybody is brother and sister today, many are laquishing in pain of BETRAY FRIEND and associate. Jesus cried out and said in Matthew 26:31,"one of you (my disciple) shall betray me" (emphasis mine)

To as many reading this devotion,who nursen the pain and wound of a betrayed friend the lord will heal your wound in Jesus name.amen 

Prayer point : OH LORD MY GOD, EXPOSE AND DISGRACE EVERY PRETENDING BETRAYER AMONG MY FRIENDS IN JESUS NAME.AMEN.
